I absolutely adored working with Lesley. I was nervous transitioning from documentary to fiction but working with Lesley was a pure joy. I felt in incredibly safe hands as she has a special knack at creating a secure and open environment to collaborate, experiment and importantly make mistakes while keeping the whole process enjoyable and fun. Lesley has developed a lot of experience and never gives up on finding the film in the material, never cutting corners and reaching for the best possibly version of the film when it could be easier to call it a day. It was an incredibly rich experience to bring the film to life together and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to collaborate with on this project.
